The Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University is named after Peter F. Drucker, considered to be the father of modern management. An Austrian-born immigrant, Drucker’s management philosophy—reflected throughout our entire curriculum—is ethical, globally-minded, and socially conscious. It was designed from the ground-up to empower all people within an organization to make a difference.
Now, the Drucker School of Management is ensuring access for everyone—in particular working professionals and recent college graduates—by developing new, specialized online master’s degree programs. These new programs will provide the flexibility of anytime, anywhere access along with the academic excellence for which CGU and Drucker are known.
Drucker's legacy can be seen in global government bodies, successful nonprofits, renowned corporations, and in the alumni of the Drucker School of Management. His renown is international and his influence has impacted organizations including Edward Jones, General Electric, Toyota, Coca-Cola, Intel, Girl Scouts of the USA, and countless others. He taught at CGU from 1971 to 2003 and passed away two years later at the age of 95.
